Associate Attorney (New York, NY):

  • Represent clients in labor and employment law litigation matters arising under state or federal law, from inception through trial or resolution.
  • Represent clients in administrative proceedings in labor and employment matters, including preparing position statements; responding to administrative audits and investigations; and appearances and hearings before relevant agencies.
  • Represent clients in labor law matters, including collective bargaining negotiations, labor arbitrations, union organizing petitions, defense of unfair labor practice charges, and proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board.
  • Prepare, review, and advise clients with respect to legal documents, including contracts, agreements, waivers and releases, employee handbooks, cease & desist letters, responses to inquiries from auditors, and human resources documents, among others.
  • Counsel clients on all aspects of the employment relationship.
  • Conduct internal investigations with respect to claims of discrimination, harassment, hostile work environment, retaliation, fraud, and misconduct.
  • Become acquainted with and advise clients with respect to emerging labor and employment law matters, including changes in existing law, new legislation, and responses to novel scenarios.
  • Conduct workforce training for clients on a variety of labor, employment law, human resources, and management topics.
  • Conduct legal research in both Internet-based and traditional formats, legal writing, and document review for cases.

Remote work permitted.

Must have a JD or LLM, admission to the New York Bar, and at least 18 months of experience as an Associate Attorney handling labor and employment litigation matters.
